Last summer I ordered a half a ton of Onyx. It wasn’t until last month I decided to work on it. I first had to cut a piece off of the large stone. After cutting the stone I wound up with the size I wanted to work on.
As I began to crave the stone it’s color and tone were revealed bringing to light a translucency and a light-yellow tone. I wanted to keep the sculpture rather thin to bring out its translucency. The result was created. A Dance for Three.
