This sculpture evolved from an irregular shaped beige alabaster boulder. It was large in diameter but thin in depth.
This presented all sorts of ideas to me on what the finished piece should look like. When viewed from the concave side, you get the feeling of being drawn in and through the negative space. It “teases” you and makes you want to view the concave side immediately and see what form it takes!
