February Sculpture of the Month

I’m always looking for new way to express my creativity and expand my diversity in media.
About five years ago I enrolled in a metal sculpting course. Various metals were used including steel, copper and aluminum. I chose aluminum to be my focus.
Welding the metal was extremely difficult due to its low melting point.
This sculpture I began to create was simple as well as complex. As my design evolved, I wanted to create a feeling of movement and elegance.
The finished piece did just that. Behold the dancers in their ballet.
